Wyndham Hotel Visalia

  • Professional telephone skills with one to two years office experience and proven organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Social Media – Instagram, Facebook etc. experience
  • Knowledge of Opera – hotel PMS system is a plus.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Command of the English language, written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical skills for simple calculations
  • Must be able to work additional hours if requested outside of the
  • Able to perform several varying tasks simultaneously
  • Must have good attendance and punctuality
  • Professional office attire required

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Assist Sales and Catering team with administrative duties such as creating contracts, entering group bookings in OPERA, responding to leads.
  • Book and coordinate small catering events. Create BEOs. Meet and greet with clients.
  • Types all correspondence, reports, and contracts
  • Maintains and organizes files, work areas, and office equipment.
  • Assists the sales staff by professionally directing the flow of information and traffic in the office including phone calls, appointments, and inquiries.
  • Maintains a trace system.
  • Interacts on a daily basis with the office staff and food and beverage staff
  • Orders all supplies to maintain office efficiency.
  • When required, keep minutes for the sales department meetings and distribute them to the appropriate areas.
  • Coordinates/creates special reports and projects when necessary and as assigned by the Sales & Catering Manager
  • Assists in the Service Recovery process by proactively resolving guest issues and notifying the supervisor on duty immediately.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Sales & Catering Manager.
  • Additional Responsibilities as needed.

Sales Manager

We are looking for a talented Sales Manager to grow our business accounts while conducting the day-to-day sales activities that drive revenue, new business, and prospecting. This dynamic and creative person will need to continue building awareness of Wyndham Visalia and our brand Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in the local community. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts.

Sales Manager’s responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space, and other property services to groups.  In addition will be managing accounts, and conducting site inspections to generate business.


Sales Manager Primary duties:

  • The Sales Manager will make sales calls to new and existing customers. Establish and maintain close contact and good rapport with target accounts through a variety of methods. Assess their current and future needs.
  • Cultivate lead sources. Network with fellow Sales Managers on leads.
  • Complete administrative documentation in the sales system in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain accurate contract files.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk to fulfill commitments and any special Guest requests, VIP packages, promotions, and showroom keys.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, lead sources, and Clients.
  • The Sales Manager will participate in community activities and guest events.
  • Prepare sales figures and reports as directed.
  • Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes, and other sources.
  • Remain aware of any and all potential security problems and report them to your Supervisor and/or GM.
  • Carry out any reasonable request by Management and Management Company.
